Disclosed are an artificial knee joint having an improved physical property, and a design method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the artificial knee joint comprises: a femur component which is fixed to a lower part of a femur; and a tibia plate which is fixed to an upper part of a tibia and accommodates the femur component to be able to slide. The femur component has a structure which forms a curved surface to be able to slide along the curved surface formed on an upper surface of the tibia plate, and has an open port, into which a protrusion part is inserted, on a central part thereof. In an upper part of the tibia plate, formed is a protrusion part which is inserted into the open port and surface-contacts with some part of the femur component. The femur component and the tibia plate comprise carbon monofilament tissues. The present invention provides an artificial knee joint and a design method thereof which are greatly improved compared with conventional artificial knee joint in terms of physical properties.
