The present application is particularly related to a " wireless communication network including stations and access points ", which are Wi-Fi networks in accordance with IEEE 802.11 standards. Internet service providers explore ways to gain a better understanding of the end user''s wireless environment, including link quality and performance. The proposed method calculates the performance value based on the measured round-trip times transmitted at different modulation rates. On the basis of the change in performance depending on the modulation rate, conclusions can be drawn on the possible sources of performance problems, and in particular this means that the [Bluetooth] interference (C and E) and the distance between the station and the access point are too large (B). /RTI
