The present invention relates to a MIMO-based full-duplex relay system and an interference removing method using the same. According to the present invention, the method includes: a step of enabling a relay terminal to receive a MIMO signal from a transmitting terminal through a reception antenna and transmit the MIMO signal to a receiving terminal through a transmission antenna; a step of estimating a first channel between the relay terminal and the transmitting terminal and a second channel between the transmission and reception antennas from a reception signal including the MIMO signal received from the transmitting terminal and a self-interference signal received from the transmission antenna; a step of obtaining an offsetting matrix for offsetting the self-interference signal based on a result of disassembling a singular value about the second channel and conducting Q-disassembly on a matrix of the MIMO signal, and then, obtaining a Z matrix; a step of primarily selecting an m-th row, having the least sum of interference components included in the same row between two matrixes, from among first to N-th rows of the offsetting and Z matrixes, and repeatedly selecting the m-th row two to N times in regard to the two matrixes circulated after the selected row is deleted; and a step of detecting an m-th transmission signal from a result of removing an m-th row component of the self-interference signal and an MIMO interference component included in the m-th row of the MIMO signal, but sequentially conducting the detection in order of rows selected one to N times to sequentially detect N transmission signals. According to the present invention, the system is capable of reliably detecting a signal of a transmitting terminal as well as improving a transmission rate by adjusting the order of interference removal conducted for each reception antenna in accordance with a communication environment.
