The present invention relates to a fingerprint registration system of a fingerprint smart card, which comprises: a fingerprint smart card including a fingerprint input unit which is activated or deactivated according to a fingerprint input unit activation control signal transmitted from the outside, and directly inputted with fingerprint information; and a processing unit which stores a serial number and transmits the same to the outside, and stores the fingerprint information received from the fingerprint input unit according as a validity verification signal of the serial number is received from the outside; and a server having a list of the serial numbers of the at least one fingerprint smart card, receiving the serial number from the fingerprint smart card, verifying validity in the serial number list, generating the validity verification signal, and transmitting the validity verification signal to the fingerprint smart card. Therefore, even if an owner of a fingerprint smart card does not go to the bank, fingerprint information can be registered on the fingerprint smart card such that the owner is able to efficiently use the fingerprint smart card.
