The present invention relates to a support structure provided on a hemispherical lid formed on an upper portion of a base connected to an astronomical observatory. The present invention has the following effects. That is, due to the characteristic structure of the rack for controlling the opening and closing of the lid of the observatory's domes by the drive pinion, it is possible to prevent the blade from deviating to the load of the wing during malfunction of the pinion drive motor. Also, during opening and closing of the lid portion, there is an advantage that the rack gear and the pinion gear are driven by the guide arm and the guide rail in a stable manner. Finally, it is possible to improve the convenience of lid part assembly of the astronomical observatory by suggesting a structure in which a rack frame can be mounted on the pinion drive shaft.
