FIELD: veterinary.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the veterinary virology and biotechnology and relates to a foot and mouth disease virus strain. Strain of foot and mouth disease virus Aphtae epizooticae of the type O is introduced. Picornaviridae, the genus Aphtovirus, deposited in the collection of the FGBI “ARRIAH” under the registration number “strain VYa O No.2212/Prymorsky/2014 (production). Strain is reproduced in a monolayer culture of pig kidney cells (SP), transplantable cultures of kidney cells of the Siberian ibex (PSGK-30), IBRS-2 and VNK-21 for 18-24 hours of incubating the virus yield in these cell cultures reaches 5.0-7.5 lg TCD₅₀/cm³ (tissue cytopathic dose).
