FIELD: veterinary.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the veterinary virology and biotechnology and relates to a foot and mouth disease virus strain. Strain is reproduced in a monolayer culture of pig kidney cells (SP), transplantable cultures of kidney cells of the Siberian ibex (PSGK-30), IBRS-2 and VNK-21 for 18-24 hours of incubating the virus yield in these cell cultures reaches 5.0-7.5 lg TCD50/cm3 (tissue cytopathic dose). At a high multiplicity of infection (1-10 TCD/cell) it causes cytopathic effect after 5 hours, maintaining initial characteristics, when passaging in cell cultures throughout 5 passages.;EFFECT: presented strain can be used to control the antigenic and immunogenic activity of the foot-mouth disease vaccines and for the manufacture of biologic drugs for diagnosis and specific prevention of foot and mouth disease of O type.;6 cl, 1 dwg, 7 tbl, 6 ex
