A cable deterioration detector according to the present invention includes: a pair of support members configured to support a cable to bend the cable; a bending part configured to bend the rope supported by the pair of supporting parts; a tension adjustment unit configured to adjust the tension of the rope; a reaction force obtaining unit configured to obtain a reaction force caused by bending the rope with the bending member; a bending obtaining unit configured to obtain a bending amount caused by bending of the rope with the bending part; and a deterioration determination unit configured to determine a deterioration state of the rope by calculating a deterioration determination parameter from a ratio between the reaction force obtained from the reaction force acquisition unit and the deflection value obtained from of the unit for obtaining bending.
