The tester is used to test the tooth foot bearing capacity of gears. The test device has a Pulsatorbacke, which rests with a contact surface on a tooth flank of a tooth of the gear. The gear sits on a shaft, which is received with their ends in a receptacle. The shaft is inclined at an angle to the horizontal, so that the shaft assumes an inclined position. The contact surface of the Pulsatorbacke therefore has no skew, so that no axial force components occur during the testing process.
