Kiln assembly and method for operating the kiln assembly

The furnace (1) has a blower producing an airflow (L) circulating inside the furnace. A conveyor belt (3) i.e. chain conveyor, continuously conveys light metal components (2) through the furnace. A heat source e.g. electric heater, heats the light metal components by the airflow in the furnace by convection in a temperature between 200 degree Celsius and 450 degree Celsius. One of the light metal components entering the furnace, and the other light metal components exiting from the furnace are constructed as a barrier for hindering escaping of the airflow from the furnace. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for thermal treatment of light metal components in a furnace (2) a method for operating a furnace.
