An optical connection module (11) for providing a bi-directional optical link for passing high speed data between two elements (23, 24) of electronic equipment. The module comprises a transmitter component (13 e) capable of emitting a modulated light wave and a receiver component (13 r) capable of receiving and demodulating a modulated light wave, the latter being arranged in an encapsulation box (14) forming a protection screen for said emitter (13 e) and receiver (13 r) elements against electromagnetic disturbances surrounding the module (11), the upper wall (141) of which has openings (144, 145) arranged facing the surface of the module; the emitter element (13 e) and the surface of the receiving element (13 r) respectively and allowing the passage of light through the housing (14); said encapsulation box (14) defining two separate cavities (15, 16) in which the transmitter element (13 e) and the receiver element (13 r) are respectively accommodated.
