To provide a monitoring method capable of simply and efficiently concentrating a trace radioactive cesium in seawater and rapidly measuring the radioactive cesium concentration in seawater.SOLUTION: As a cesium adsorbent, a slurry is used which is obtained by nano atomizing a Prussian blue type metal cyano-complex and dispersing it into a solvent. Thus, an adsorbent having adsorbed the radioactive cesium is separated by adding a coagulant/flocculant without using a conventional column or cartridge, and is measured by a radiation detector. Thus, a trace radioactive cesium in seawater can be efficiently monitored.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
