To provide a circuit for detecting the state of a motor for timepieces, a timepiece, and a method for detecting the state of a motor for timepieces, with which it is possible to suppress an increase in the current consumption of a threshold voltage that serves as a point of reference in detecting the rotation state of a motor for timepieces.SOLUTION: A circuit 10 for detecting the state of a motor for timepieces comprises: a comparison circuit 11 for comparing voltages inputted to first input units IN1, IN2 and a second input unit IN3; a detection circuit 12 for inputting, in a state detection period, an induced electromotive voltage to the first input units IN1, IN2 that is generated in a drive pulse output period by rotation of a rotor that a motor 30 driven by a drive pulse has, the state detection period being a period after the drive pulse output period in which the rotation state of the motor 30 is detected; and a holding circuit 13 for holding a threshold voltage in the state detection period that is set in the drive pulse output period on the basis of a voltage from a power supply circuit 15 that generates the voltage and inputted to the second input unit IN3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
