To measure muscle strength of quadriceps femoris muscle and hamstring muscles with good reproducibility.SOLUTION: A lower limb muscle strength measuring apparatus includes: a frame; a seat part placed on the frame and having a seating face and a backrest; a knee pad part attached to the frame in front of the seat part for supporting the knee back of a subject seated on the seat part; an arm part extending while its one end side is fixed to the frame; a leg pad part attached to the arm part at a position corresponding to a part of the leg lower than the knee of the subject seated on the seat part; and a measuring instrument placed in the arm part for measuring at least one of the muscle strength exerted by the subject seated on the seat part by pushing up the leg pad part by a front face of the leg with the knee pad part as a fulcrum and the muscle strength exerted by pushing down the leg pad part by a rear face of the leg with the knee pad part as a fulcrum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
