PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detection device with superior assembly workability, and a method of manufacturing the liquid level detection device.;SOLUTION: A liquid level detection device comprises: a holder which rotates as a flow is displaced accompanying variation in liquid level; a magnet which is fixed to the holder and rotates together with the holder; a magnetic detection part which detects magnetic force variation accompanying rotating operation of the magnet, and has a reed; a terminal which is electrically connected to the reed; a first resin body which holds the terminal and magnetic detection part; a second resin body which covers the magnetic detection part and first resin body; and a cover which covers a surface (holder mount surface) 12a, where the holder is mounted, of the second resin body.
