To provide a particle separator for improving persistence of capacity for separating and collecting a particle from fluid.SOLUTION: A particle separator 100 for separating an electrified particle from fluid flowing in a prescribed direction and including the electrified particle, comprises an electrode 10 including a plurality of electrode elements 11 arranged in the different direction from the prescribed direction, an electric potential generation circuit 4 for impressing electric potential on the plurality of respective electrode elements 11 and a control unit 5 controlling the electric potential impressed by the electric potential generation circuit 4. The control unit 5 controls the electric potential so as to generate a carrying electric field area and a capture electric field area in the plurality of electrode elements 11, and impresses the electric potential for generating a carrying electric field for carrying the electrified particle in the different direction from the prescribed direction on the electrode elements 11 in the carrying electric field area, and impresses the electric potential for generating by periodically switching a first capture electric field in the same direction as the carrying electric field and a second capture electric field in the inverse direction of the carrying electric field on the electrode elements 11 in the capture electric field area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
