To provide an inspection device capable of easily confirming a deformation state such as elongation/contraction or twist of an elongation/contraction joint by visual observation.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an inspection device 1 configured to inspect a deformation state of an elongation/contraction joint 4 connecting pipes 2 and 3 of which the nominal diameter is 4 inches or more preferably. The inspection device comprises: an instruction part 10 consisting of a rod-shaped member 11 which is fitted at the side of one flange 4a of the elongation/contraction joint 4 and extends in a flow direction Z of the elongation/contraction joint 4 preferably; and a display part 20 which is fitted at the side of another flange 4b of the elongation/contraction joint 4. The display part 20 includes: a first display part 21 which is in parallel with the flow direction Z of the elongation/contraction joint 4 preferably; and a second display part 22 which is orthogonal to the first display part 21. In a case where the deformation of the elongation/contraction joint 4 is within an allowable range, a distal end 11a of the rod-shaped member 11 is positioned within regions 21a and 22a that are defined on the first display part 21 and the second display part 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
