To provide an electronic device for generating an image including a 3D avatar with the facial movements of a face reflected thereon, using a 3D (three-dimensional) avatar for the face.SOLUTION: The electronic device according to the present invention includes: a camera, a display, and a processor. The processor acquires a first image including at least one external object by the camera, provides through a display, a 3D (three-dimensional) object of the at least one external object which is generated on the basis of attributes related to a face, and generates a 3D avatar for the face based on at least one of graphic attributes to be applied to the 3D object. Using the 3D avatar, a second image, which includes at least one object with a predetermined expression or motion reflected thereon, is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
