To provide a method for evaluating a degradation in the characteristics of a mobile body which can accurately evaluate a predetermined degradation in the characteristics of a mobile body as a metal structure.SOLUTION: According to the method for evaluating a degradation in the characteristics of a mobile body, a degradation in the characteristics of a second mobile body in a moving route is evaluated on the basis of the result of multiplication of a characteristic degradation rate for a predetermined characteristic degradation set for each of several areas according to the result of measurement by a measuring device set in a first mobile body and the times when the first mobile body passes by the areas and the times when the second mobile body passes by the areas, the first and second mobile bodies being the same body or different bodies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
