To provide a novel manufacturing method of a carbon carrying gold nanoparticle material capable of atomizing gold nanoparticles.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a carbon carrying gold nanoparticle material includes a first process to a fourth process. In the first process, a carbon material and an alkali earth metal ion-containing solution is contacted and dried to obtain an alkali earth metal compound dispersed carbon material. In a second process, a chalcogen compound is added to a gold compound solution to obtain an Au-chalcogen complex-containing solution. In a third process, the alkali earth metal compound dispersed carbon material is added to the Au-chalcogen complex-containing solution to obtain carbon carrying gold chalcogenide.
