PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display rewriting system which, when rewriting a display device having a nonvolatile display part, determines by an image detection unit a display device which needs to be rewritten, and rewrites the display device in a short time.;SOLUTION: The display rewriting system includes: a display device 100 which has a nonvolatile display part 101; and rewriting device 110 which rewrites information on the display part of the display device. The display device includes: a receiving part 106 for receiving data transmitted from the rewriting device; an identification information display part 102 for displaying identification information; and a first control part 104 for controlling the display device. The rewriting device includes: a transmitting part 116 for transmitting data to the display device; a detector 112 for detecting the identification information; and a second control part 114 for controlling the rewriting device.
