PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus possible to shorten the time to start feeding a subsequent sheet.;SOLUTION: There is provided a recording apparatus, including: a feed roller for feeding a recording sheet; a conveying roller pair for conveying the recording sheet fed by the feeding roller; recording means for recording on the recording sheet conveyed by the conveying roller pair; conveying control means capable of controlling conveyance of the recording sheet such that a leading sheet and a leading end of the following sheet fed next to the leading sheet overlap with each other; and skew correction means for performing a skew correction operation by abutting the leading end of the sheet against a stopped conveying roller pair.
