PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of easily suppressing black floating in a superimposed area while suppressing deterioration in contrast.;SOLUTION: A projector for projecting a projecting image includes: a first panel 151; a second panel 152; a projection optical system 171 for projecting light transmitted by the first panel 151 and the second panel 152; an information acquisition section 114 for acquiring light reduction information in an area of a projecting image sg 301, which is superimposed on an image projected by another projector; and a panel control section 150 which controls the first panel 151 on the basis of data on the projecting image sg 301, and which controls the second panel 152 on the basis of the light reduction information.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
