PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a household electrical appliance with which it is possible to perform efficient communication.;SOLUTION: A household electrical appliance 100 comprises: a communication module 300 having a communication control unit 311 for controlling communication with an external device 400; an appliance main body 200 having a main body control unit 210 for creating a standard telegraphic message conforming to a prescribed specification, a non-standard telegraphic message not conforming to the prescribed specification and a composite telegraphic message including an identifier for identifying the standard telegraphic message and the non-standard telegraphic message and transmitting these to the communication control unit 311; and a table holding unit 340 for storing a correspondence table 341 including correspondence information that indicates whether the external device 400 can identify only the standard telegraphic message, can identify only the non-standard telegraphic message or can identify the standard telegraphic message and the non-standard telegraphic message. When a composite telegraphic message is received, the communication control unit 311 transmits the received composite telegraphic message to the external device 400, which is the destination of the composite telegraphic message, in the supported form of a telegraphic message on the basis of the correspondence table 341.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
