GENETIC TEST AND THERAPEUTIC AGENT OF INVASIVE PERIODONTITIS

To provide gene test methods of invasive periodontitis.SOLUTION: Invasive periodontitis is tested in vitro by identifying a mutation in NOD2 gene. More specifically, the onset tendency of invasive periodontitis is determined by examining the mutations in amino acid residues at positions 110, 311, 370, 459 and/or 868 in human NOD2 protein. A therapeutic agent for invasive periodontitis which contains a NOD 2 activity inhibitor is also provided based on the finding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
