PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tufted carpet base fabric that efficiently deactivates allergens such as pollens, mites, mite dead bodies and the like entered a carpet, particularly, the inside thereof and efficiently reduces an infectivity titer of virus entered the inside of the carpet and to provide a tufted carpet using the base fabric.SOLUTION: The tufted carpet base fabric has a two-layer structure composed of a nonwoven fabric layer containing 5 to 40 wt% of a crosslinked acrylate fiber having antiallergenic and antivirus function and a span bond nonwoven fabric layer laminated on the above-mentioned nonwoven fabric layer. The tufted carpet uses the tufted carpet base fabric in which piles are implanted on the top face of the crosslinked acrylate fiber-containing nonwoven fabric layer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
