PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate an electricity transaction amount which maximizes a profit.SOLUTION: An optimal transaction amount determination system calculates a reduction amount which is a difference between a power generation cost according to an estimated value of the amount of electric power demand and a power generation cost according to electric energy obtained by subtracting an optimal transaction amount from the estimated value of the amount of electric power demand, calculates a profit amount which is a difference between the reduction amount and expenditure which is a transaction amount according to the optimal transaction amount, and determines an optimal transaction amount related to a purchase transaction so that the profit amount becomes maximum. The system calculates an increased amount which is a difference between a power generation cost according to electric energy obtained by adding the optimal transaction amount to the estimated value of the amount of power demand and a power generation cost according to the estimated value of the amount of power demand, calculates a profit amount which is a difference between an income amount which is a transaction amount according to the optimal transaction amount and the increased amount, and determines an optimal transaction amount related to a sales transaction so that the profit amount becomes maximum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8C
