The tool holder (6) has a receiving unit for receiving a tool taper in an axial direction of the tool holder at one side of the tool holder. A locking unit is provided for locking the tool taper received in the receiving unit. The tool holder is fastened on a tool magazine (2) by an attachment unit. The locking unit has a tightening element that is moved in the axial direction, particularly from one position to another position. The tool taper received in the receiving unit is locked, when the tightening element is in the former position. An independent claim is included for an unlocking device for unlocking the tool in the tool sheath.
