The present invention allows a partner school for international student exchange to be found without significant time and effort. This international student exchange assistance device receives, via a telecommunication line from each school of a plurality of schools that receive international students, both a school identifier uniquely identifying the school, and international student admission information which indicates departments capable of receiving international students, and which also indicates the number of international students that can be admitted, said international student exchange assistance device being provided with a storage unit and a control unit, which are described below. The storage unit associates and stores, in advance, each school identifier, information indicating the country to which the school indicated by the school identifier belongs, and school information relating to the school. Each time the control unit receives international student admission information transmitted from one of a plurality of terminal devices, the control unit replaces the school identifier included in the international student admission information with the school information relating to the school indicated by the school identifier, thereby generating modified international student admission information, and transfers the modified international student admission information to schools that each belong to a different country than the school indicated by the school identifier.
