When a peptide having a thiol group in the vicinity of an amino group and an amino acid residue having a specific protecting group introduced at the thiol group and the amino group at the N-terminus is translated by the initiation suppression method, the initiation probability of the amino acid translation reaction is increased. In addition to the improvement, the production of cleaved peptides was suppressed, and it became clear that translation efficiency and purity were improved. In addition, it has been clarified that the cyclization reaction by the amide bond can proceed efficiently in the peptide. Based on these findings, a new method for producing a peptide-nucleic acid complex comprising a peptide containing a plurality of unnatural amino acids and having a cyclization site by an amide bond has been found.
