tray for housing fiber optic junctions, and optical transition box comprising a base, a tray (t) for housing fiber optic junctions is described. tray (t) comprises a junction fastening area (a1) which in turn comprises a number of junction fasteners. the number of junction fasteners is arranged according to a two-dimensional arrangement comprising at least one first column (c1) and a second column (c2). first column (c1) comprises at least one first junction fastener (sh11-sh18) and at least one fiber passageway (fp11, fp21) suitable for housing a at least one first optic length (f3-f6) , f11-f14) so that it deviates from the first column (c1). the second column (c2) comprises at least one junction fastener (sh12-sh82) and at least a second fiber passageway (fp12, f22) suitable for housing a length of at least a second optic (f1-f2) , f7-f10, f15-f16) so that it deviates from the second column (c2).
