HEAD AND NECK CANCER RADIOTHERAPY IMMOBILIZER OBTAINED BY POLYMERIC NANOCOMPOSIT 3D PRINTING

The invention relates to the use of a 0.2% pcl / mcm-48 nanocomposite made of biocompatible materials for making an immobilizer used in the radiotherapy treatment of head and piece cancer. The addition of mcm-48 nanoparticles minimized the effects of therapeutic dose gamma radiation on pcl. The nanocomposite was obtained from the addition of mcm-48 and pcl nanoparticles to a solvent, and the nanocomposite films were obtained by the solvent evaporation method. The characterization techniques showed that mcm-48 had a thermal stabilization effect and minimized the effects of gamma radiation on pcl. The nanocomposites will be processed in an extruder to obtain filaments which will feed a 3d printer to make the immobilizer from the nanocomposites.
