Experimental development has proven to be efficient in the process of obtaining n-paraffin-chain single-branched central isomers with high selectivity. The catalyst showed a selectivity relative to the 7-methyl-pentadecane isomer of 43%, remaining practically constant with the reaction time. The pt / al-sba-15 catalyst also has low selectivity for cracked products for low conversions, and thus maximizes high value added products.
