The present invention relates to the synthesis of corrosion inhibitors in the form of rare earth chlorides, with the distinctive element of being free of nitrogen and suitable for application at high temperatures designed to extend the useful life of the facilities and processes associated with refining of petroleum and petrochemical industry.
