The present invention concerns an improved cargo box grip and block system for a forklift truck, as well as a forklift truck providing such a cargo box grip and block system. The Grip and block system of a cargo box (C) to be operated per forklift truck (FT), is of a type comprising a bearing frame (22) apt to be associated to an overturning device for the cargo box (C) overturning (C), a cargo box (C) grip and block arrangement (10) above operating for a related grip on a cargo box (C) upper edge (50), grip and block actuating means apt to carry out a cargo box (C) blockage by grabbing the cargo box (C) comprising: - driving means (23,24) associated al bearing frame (22) for a displacement of a driving element (23) thereof apt to be rigidly associated to a grip and block arrangement (10) main body (11), - pulling and pushing piston means (30) apt to be driven in elongation and/or shortening from an unblock operative position (figures 3 and 5) to a blockage operative position and vice-versa of said grip and block system (20). Peculiarly of the system is that said grip and block actuating means del system (20) comprise pulling and pushing piston means (30) associated, by a first end (31) thereof to the driving element (23), by a second end (32) thereof (32) to a controlled shifting means (25,34) of an end (32) of said piston means (30) with respect to the bearing frame (22); also, the system (20) comprises a forged foot (40) rigidly associated to the piston means (30) second end (32) and being adapted to get in touch with an inferior surface (53) of a cargo box (50) when the system (20) is in a blockage operative position.
