The invention relates to a cover for protecting and preserving a lawn, for sports pitches, for football pitches, the cover having pores to ensure good ventilation and transpiration of the lawn. The cover has motors for deploying same and covering the lawn, preventing the lawn from getting waterlogged due to snow or rain. It comes in different colours, such as black, silver, transparent, and white. The white cover is used for projecting images and incorporates LEDs. The cover covers the entire lawn of a football pitch automatically or manually, protecting the lawn against frost, ice or rain. The cover has motors and vehicles for deploying the cover manually over the lawn. Cylinders buried in the lawn raise the cover and create the slope to discharge water or snow. This is an inexpensive cover that protects the lawn and can be used in all types of sports pitches and environments or in agricultural applications.
