An electrolytic cell, a method for manufacturing the cell, anda method of operating same. The electrolytic cell has at leasttwo bipolar plates, at least one fluid inflow and outflow, aswell as at least one laminated core arranged between the atleast two bipolar plates. The laminated core is constructedfrom laminations which are stacked one on top of the other. Atleast two laminations have recesses which are designed toextend through the entire thickness of the respectivelamination. The at least two laminations are arranged one ontop of the other in such a way that recesses in adjacentlaminations overlap partially, but not completely, as a resultof which ducts, which are continuous in the direction of theplane of the lamination, are formed.
