A remediation method for water and sandy soil based on a photocatalytic fuel cell. Utilizing the characteristic of photocatalytic fuel cells in which solar energy generates electrons/holes with high activity that degrade contaminants, a photocatalytic fuel cell is introduced into a soil remediation system to form a remediation system for water and sandy soil based on a photocatalytic fuel cell responsive to visible light, such that the remediation system for water and sandy soil based on the photocatalytic fuel cell responsive to visible light is constructed. The remediation system for water and sandy soil based on the photocatalytic fuel cell consists of a water phase and a sandy soil phase. Sandy soil is added into a tubular reactor, then a contaminant solution is added, and the same remains at rest until adsorption equilibrium is achieved. The photocatalytic fuel cell is set up, a conductive wire connects a photoelectrocatalytic anode and a photoelectrocatalytic cathode, and an external resistor is connected in series to form a closed loop. By means of a synergistic effect of photocatalysis and electrocatalysis, contaminants in the water phase are degraded, and contaminants in the sandy soil phase are degraded accordingly, thus reducing the contaminant concentration in the sandy soil, and enabling remediation.
