Embodiments of the present application provide a method for controlling a multimedia conference, and a multimedia conference server. The method for controlling a multimedia conference comprises: determining whether multimedia information of a conference site acquired by a multimedia conference terminal meets a predetermined condition; if the multimedia information does not meet the predetermined condition, obtaining the multimedia information of the conference site acquired by the multimedia conference terminal; and if the multimedia information meets the predetermined condition, turning off the multimedia conference terminal.
