A vibration signal support vector machine-based GIL fault online monitoring system, wherein a monitoring device is mounted on an outer surface of a GIL channel, a vibration signal map produced by a pipe wall during actual circuit transmission is detected and recorded, and GIL fault diagnosis is performed by means of horizontal and vertical comparison. For example, if a vibration signal near several three-post insulators is abnormal, it may be determined that a partition has a suspected fault corresponding to a similar map in a database. Taking into account GIL structural characteristics, the fault detection apparatus does not require GIL power outage or disassembly, and is a highly implementable, convenient and effective means of inspection. In addition, the present invention can monitor a GIL operating state in real time, send information to a ground monitoring station via a wireless device, and ensure stable GIL operations. The present invention solves problems such as electrified operation risks being high, power-off operation processes being complex and energy transmission being influenced during GIL channel detection and fault analysis.
