The present invention relates to a non-cadmium-based quantum dot, a method for preparing a non-cadmium-based quantum dot, and a quantum dot film comprising a non-cadmium-based quantum dot. A quantum dot according to the present invention can convert an emission wavelength band by using a difference in an energy level according to a band gap, rather than converting an emission wavelength band by using a novel core part to inject a new precursor into a core or adjusting a size of the core. Therefore, the present invention allows synthesis from a blue quantum dot to a white quantum dot according to a structure or a material of a shell layer surrounding a core part.
