Disclosed is a river channel water quality detection device, comprising: a water-pumping hose for pumping water from a river channel; a water storage tank connected to the water-pumping hose; a vertical sampling water pipe which is externally connected to the bottom of the water storage tank; a three-way pipe connected to the bottom end of the sampling water pipe; a water quality heavy metal detection device and a water quality formaldehyde detection device, which are respectively connected to the other two ends of the three-way pipe; and an alarm for a water quality heavy metal concentration standard being exceeded and an alarm for a water quality formaldehyde concentration standard being exceeded. The river channel water quality detection device can carry out water quality heavy metal concentration sampling detection and water quality formaldehyde concentration sampling detection on water in a river channel, and can raise an alarm as long as either of the water quality heavy metal concentration and the water quality formaldehyde concentration exceeds the standard.
