METHOD FOR PLANNING THE SURFACE LAYOUT OF AN OIL FIELD

The invention relates to integrated systems and methods for planning the layout of oil fields. In the claimed method, initial data is generated, well stream gathering centres are placed on a map of well pads according to a specific algorithm, and the placement of the gathering centres is optimized by successively applying local optimization and global optimization. A network of communication corridors connecting the gathering centres and the well pads is then formed, wherein a plan of a primary network of communication corridors that includes pipelines is created, then said primary network is globally and locally optimized. The diameters of the pipelines on each section of the planned network are determined, for the purpose of which a pressure value at the inlet of the gathering centres, a pressure value at the well pads and a maximum pressure drop gradient are set, on the basis of which approximate pressure values that provide a pressure drop gradient from a well pad to a gathering centre that is not greater than the maximum gradient are determined at all junction points of the network, whereupon, taking into account the known production profile and also the known deployment sequence of the well pads, the recommended diameters of the pipelines on each portion of the network are determined.
