The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery produced by the manufacturing method, the method comprising the steps of: (i) preparing a lithium metal electrode having metal lithium (Li) formed one surface or both surfaces of a current collector; (ii) forming a passivation film, which is a stable coating, by applying, to a surface of the metal lithium, an electrolyte for coating containing at least one lithium salt, at least one non-aqueous-based organic solvent, and at least one additive; (iii) manufacturing an electrode assembly with using the lithium metal electrode as a negative electrode; and (iv) embedding the electrode assembly in a secondary battery case and injecting an electrolyte for injection containing at least one lithium salt, at least one non-aqueous-based organic solvent, and at least one additive, wherein the additive of the electrolyte for coating and the additive of the electrolyte for injection employ particular materials and have different compositions.
