Provided is an intelligent nitrogen and oxygen sensor and a detection method implemented by the same. The intelligent nitrogen and oxygen sensor comprises sensing chips which comprise a matrix layer, a printed functional layer and a closed structure cavity. The matrix layer comprises an upper-layer zirconium oxide substrate (1), a middle-layer zirconium oxide substrate (2) and a base-layer zirconium oxide substrate (3). The printed functional layer comprises a common external electrode (11), a main pump internal electrode (12), an auxiliary pump internal electrode (13), a mixed potential sensitive electrode (31), a measuring pump internal electrode (33), a reference air electrode (33), a first insulation wrapping layer (41), a second insulation wrapping layer (42), a heating circuit (43) and eight electrode contacts. The closed structure cavity comprises a first measuring cavity (21), a second measuring cavity (22) and a reference air channel (23). The total quantity of NO X in exhaust can be accurately measured by the sensing chips of the intelligent nitrogen and oxygen sensor by the aid of current type working principles, the proportion of NO/NO 2 in the exhaust further can be detected by the aid of mixed potential characteristics, and accordingly the concentration of NO and the concentration of NO 2 in the exhaust can be accurately computed.
