Disclosed are an automatic petroleum-family component analyzer and an analysis method therefor. The automatic petroleum-family component analyzer comprises: a medium block discharge ion source; a chromatogram rod, wherein the chromatogram rod and the medium block discharge ion source are positioned at the same level and are vertically arranged, and during detection, the chromatogram rod moves from outside to inside along a direction perpendicular to a plasma plume at a certain speed; and a mass spectrometer, wherein the mass spectrometer keeps a certain angle with the plasma plume in a horizontal direction, a sample component at the chromatogram rod is subjected to desorption ionization by the plasma plume and then is directly sputtered to an inlet of the mass spectrometer, and the resulting sample component is driven by an electrical field to enter the mass spectrometer for detection in order.
