The invention relates to a package for products of the cigarette industry. The package (10) is designed as a lidded box and has at least one cover part (12) and a box part (11) which is made of an outer blank (30), said cover part and box part being connected together in a pivotal manner about a linear joint (13) in order to form an outer package (27). The package (10) is designed to receive package contents which have smaller dimensions than the interior of the package (10), and the package contents are arranged in an inner package (29) which is made of an inner blank (31, 58, 64) and which at least partly surrounds the package contents on multiple sides. The invention is characterized in that the package contents to be received have a shorter depth than the interior of the package (10), and the inner package (29) is designed to compensate for the aforementioned shorter dimension.
