The present invention relates to a mutant strain of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus which can be used as a vaccine. The virus mutant strain of the present invention is more attenuated than parent strains and has low pathogenicity and high stability, and thus can be used as an effective preventive and therapeutic vaccine for PRRS disease by enhancing the secretion of interferon-gamma.
