The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing an Acorus calamus root extract and an organic compound of stigmasterol, stearic acid, gallocatechin, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, procatechuic acid and vanillic acid, which are active components derived from the extract. More specifically, the present invention has excellent effects of providing a functional cosmetic composition without cytotoxicity and skin side effects for antioxidation, anti-wrinkle, anti-inflammation, skin-whitening, skin aging inhibition and hair follicle cell proliferation. The present invention comprises the steps of: extracting Acorus calamus root; sequentially fractionating organic solvent of the Acorus calamus root extract; and analyzing hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate and butanol fractions of the extract obtained in the previous step.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
