Disclosed is a method for encoding an image which comprises the steps of: extracting feature points from a picture; generating two or more clusters by performing feature point clustering on the extracted feature points; determining two or more division sections of the picture respectively corresponding to the generated two or more clusters; encoding the two or more division sections in parallel; and generating a bit stream including information on the division section. Each size and each shape of the two or more division sections are individually determined.
