The present invention relates to a system for building technology transfer demand information using patent examination information and a method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method may comprise the steps of: obtaining patent information relates to a registered patent or refused patent; acquiring reference document information about a reference document referred in a registered patent or the refused patent examination process based on the patent information; generating first demand information indicating demand related to the registered patent based on the reference document information; generating second demand information indicating demand related to the reference document based on the patent information; and storing the generated first and second demand information.
